China World Hotel, Beijing Welcomes New General Manager

John Rice has been appointed general manager of China World Hotel, Beijing.

An Australian national, Rice has been with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts for 15 years, and this is his second Beijing appointment, having previously worked in the food and beverage division at Shangri La Hotel, Beijing. Prior to joining China World Hotel, Beijing,Rice was general manager of the Pudong Shangri-La, Shanghai. His portfolio also includes Shangri-La properties in the Philippines, Fiji, and Singapore.
