Two Major HKCTS Brands To Exceed 100 Hotels By 2012

China Travel Service (Holdings) Hong Kong Limited has announced that the number of outlets under its two large hotel brands will exceed 100 by 2012.

Xu Muhan, vice general manager of China National Travel Service (HK), said that the number of hotels under the "Metropark" brand category will reach more than 50 by 2012, with a plan for the establishment of flagship hotels in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou or Shenzhen in the North, East, and South China regions by 2010.

Meanwhile, the number of hotels under the other brand category "Traveler Inn" will add to over 50 outlets focusing on the major cities in China. By taking advantage of its tourism resources, the group plans to build two or three Traveler Inn hotels in Hong Kong, Macau, Southeast Asia, Europe, and America by mergers and acquisitions.

The Metropark brand includes "Grand Metropark" for five-star luxury hotels and "Metropark" for four-star business hotels; while the Traveler Inn brand has "Traveler Inn" for generic business hotels and "Traveler Inn Express" for budget hotels.
