Lushan Mountain Initiates Green Tourism Transport With New Transfer Service

The Lushan Mountain scenic spot has taken one step further toward green tourism transportation with the construction of a new transfer service center.

Located at the entrance of the Nanshan Road of Lushan Mountain, the new center is adjacent to the Tongyuan Exit of Nanchang-Jiujiang Expressway, the No. 105 National Road, and Lushan Airport. With a total area of up to 160,000 square meters, it can provide multiple services that combine ticket selling and transfers. In particular, its Environmentally-friendly Square can be used by park 1,500 vehicles of different sizes.

It is understood that after the center is completed and put into use in December 2009, tourists will be asked to tour Lushan by taking an environmentally-friendly car instead of a private car or state-financed vehicle.

According to a representative from Lushan Management Bureau, the green tourism transportation program will be run on a trial basis in the first and second tier sightseeing spots of Lushan in the first half of this year and it will be further expanded to the whole scenic spot after the two transfer centers which are located at Nanshan and Beishan, respectively, are completed.
