Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has appointed Atiq Rehman as general manager of the Shangri-La Hotel, Huhhot.

A Pakistan national, Rehman has almost 30 years of hotel industry experience, starting with Hilton International in Lahore, Pakistan. He has been with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts for 20 years serving at various properties including Shangri-La Hotel, Hanzhou; China World Hotel, Beijing; and the Kerry Center Hotel, Beijing. Prior to taking up this new assignment, Rehman was the resident manager at the China World Hotel, Beijing.
