Tenpay Digs Into Online Travel Business

Tencent's online payment tool Tenpay has announced details of a cooperation agreement with Ctrip.com.

Tenpay users can now log on Ctrip.com through their QQ account to enjoy a one-stop service for buying tickets as well as hotel search and reservation.

Compared to Ctrip's other cooperative channels, this not only brings convenience to netizens for their travel, but expands Tenpay's service scope to hotel and travel reservations.

Ctrip.com will benefit since this cooperation will attract more users while lowering its operating costs.

Tencent is the only Internet service senior sponsor of World Expo 2010. In the future, Tencent plans to build an online travel service platform together with a travel distribution provider, airline companies, and hotels, offering one-stop lifestyle and travel services to its 400 million users.
