China Travel Internet Media Alliance Formally Set Up

Spearheaded by,, and other major Internet operations, 33 Chinese media companies including CRI Online,, and have formally set up the China Travel Internet Media Alliance to integrate tourism resources and boost the sustainable development of the industry.

Due to the negative impact of global financial crisis and A H1N1 influenza, China's tourism industry suffered in the first half of 2009. The alliance will be a channel for the promotion of domestic tourist attractions and travel companies to respond to a situation that might last for a long time.

Travel information from different provinces will be integrated and cross-media cooperation will also be launched to offer information to tourists nationwide.
