Meritus Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointments of George Benney as general manager and Justine Lee as director of sales and marketing of Shanghai JC Mandarin Hotel.

George Benney is a seasoned hotelier who has more than 25 years of experience in high-level management. After spending 28 years with the Hyatt Group, George worked with Mandarin Oriental Jakarta in 2000 and was last with The Sukhothai, Bangkok, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World.

Originally from Taiwan, Justin Lee brings with her extensive sales and marketing experience gained from working experience in hospitality industry in Taiwan, Malaysia, Bali, and China. Prior joining Shanghai JC Mandarin, she was with IHG and successfully opened Crown Plaza Sun Palace Beijing and Holiday Inn Beijing Moon River.
