Top Management Appointed To Le Meridien Qingdao

Two top mangers have been appointed to Le Meridien Qingdao, the first Starwood hotel in Qingdao, which is slated to open in December 2009.

Tomas Hannson Tomas Hansson has been appointed as general manager for Le Meridien Qingdao. A native of Sweden, he has held various senior management positions in Starwood and in China, most recently as the opening general manager of Sheraton Shenzhen Futian Hotel. Prior to that, he was involved in the openings of Sheraton Shenyang and Sheraton Nanjing and had also been the general manager of Sheraton Chengdu. Before coming to China, Hansson worked in Sheraton in England and in Sweden.

Sara Liu has been appointed as director of sales and marketing for Le Meridien Qingdao following her role at Westin Beijing Financial Street as a member of the opening team. Before that, she was the sales and marketing manager of the Great Wall Sheraton Hotel in Beijing.
