New Appointments At Maritim Hotel You-Town Beijing

German-based Maritim Hotels has announced the appointment of two key managers for its first hotel opening in Asia, the Maritim Hotel You-Town Beijing, which is slated to open in March 2010.

Volkmar Ruebel has been appointed general manager of Maritim Hotel You-Town Beijing. Before this new appointment, he was with Hilton Hotels Group for over forty years gaining experience and exposure in Asia with assignments in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, and China. Prior to this appointment he was the GM of Hilton Shanghai for 14 years.

Gary Ma has been appointed director of sales and marketing at the Maritim Hotel You-Town Beijing. With over 13 years of hospitality experience, he has worked for InterContinental, Shangri-La, and Marco Polo hotels in Hong Kong. Prior to joining the Maritim Hotels Group, Ma was the DOSM of Crowne Plaza Beijing.
