090921colinbaker Carlson Hotels Worldwide has appointed Colin Baker as the general manager of the 263-room Park Plaza Beijing West, which is scheduled to open by the end of 2009.

He has almost 20 years of hospitality industry experience with international hotel groups including being general manager of Holiday Inn Adelaide and Parkside Motel, as well as Parkroyal Perth, where he was an integral member of the management team during the property's re-launch. Prior to this post, Baker was responsible for 21 properties at Accor Premiere Vacation Club.
