Guangzhou To Open Direct Route To San Francisco Before Asian Games

News from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is that after being postponed for a year, the direct air route from Guangzhou to San Francisco is expected to be launched before the 2010 Asian Games.

In addition this route, the airport will add three to five international air routes before the games, including Guangzhou to Istanbul, and increase flight frequency on several Asia routes. It is expected that the airport could become the best hub in southern China for journeys through Asia of up to four hours.

Currently over 50 airlines have launched flights from Baiyun Airport, with more than 170 domestic and international destinations and more than 200 routes. Its network now can reach to major air traffic hubs and tourist cities in Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle Asia, West Asia, the Middle East, North America, Europe, Australia, and Africa.
