Eddie Wong has been appointed as the director of marketing of Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel.

An Australian Chinese with 13 years of hotel sales and management experience, he has previously worked for Hyatt Regency Hong Kong, Inter-Continental Hotel Group, Utell/Pegasus Systems, and The Peninsula Hong Kong; and he was the regional director of sales for Asia Pacific of The Peninsula Hotels for more than three years. He joined the Marriott Group as project director for Marriott International Asia Pacific in July 2009. Prior to taking this new appointment, he was director of marketing of the new Renaissance Shanghai Zhongshan Park Hotel.
