Air China Opens New Premium Lounge In Guangzhou

Air China has opened a new premium lounge designed to Star Alliance standards at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

Furnished in a southern-Chinese style, the new premium lounge covers an area of 1,000 square meters and is the largest lounge at Baiyun Airport. The 165-seat lounge offers a wide range of functions including a changing room, showers, a sleeping area, food and beverage, a smoking area, an entertainment zone, an Internet cafe, baggage storage, mobile phone recharging stations, and two VIP rooms.

Currently eight Star Alliance member airlines — Air China, Shanghai Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa, ANA, Thai, Egypt Air, and Asiana Airlines — are operating from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, offering over 120 domestic flights and 20 international flights to 20 domestic cities and seven cities overseas. To support Star Alliance initiatives and to follow the service standards of Star Alliance's "Move under One Roof" initiative, Baiyun Airport allocated its East Concourse 2 for the exclusive use of Air China, and as such, over 90% of Air China flights to the airport will be able to dock and connect to the terminal directly.
