Ctrip.com Announces Cooperation With Chengdu

Chinese online travel service provider Ctrip.com has announced that it will launch an in-depth cooperation with Chengdu Municipal Government on tourism vocational education and training, the construction of modern service industry outsourcing base, and the establishment of a tourist distribution center.

Fan Min, the CEO of Ctrip.com, stated that Ctrip.com will train tourism professionals and call center professionals of different levels through joint educational projects with local colleges in Chengdu. In addition, the two sides will jointly build an outsourcing to serve central and western China, and Ctrip.com's western China branch and call center will be stationed here.

They will also build the Chengdu Tourist Distribution Center to bring more tourists to Chengdu and to promote the development of Chengdu and tourism in Sichuan by leveraging the brand name of Ctrip.com.

To date Ctrip.com has 13 branches covering key second-tier cities in China.
