What do you think of China Hospitality News and its bilingual products? Which columns interested you most and why?
China Hospitality News delivers comprehensive information to readers in an accurate and timely manner and is an upscale travel trade product that bookers can rely on. I often look through all the columns of the magazine carefully. The Travel Booker column is, in particular, worthy of being referred to, since after all the masses are sharp-eyed.
Which elements are most attractive to you when you choose a hotel or meeting venue?
First, I will consider the hotel's service and see if it can solve any problems in a timely manner. Of course, the location is also very important. The hotel should be close to the company and be conveniently located. Other factors that I will consider include the brand and the price of the hotel.
Which Chinese domestic hotels do you choose for your events?
Convenient location is the premise for choosing a hotel, but brand is equally important. The hotels we choose frequently include China World Hotel, Traders Hotel Beijing, Sheraton Shanghai Hongqiao Hotel, Renaissance Shanghai Yangtze Hotel, and The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou.
Which hotels have impressed you most and why?
China World Hotel Beijing does very well on VIP service, as part of its efforts in this regard it simplifies its check-in service and provides a one-serves-one service. Another hotel that has impressed me is The Ritz-Carlton, Guangzhou. The hotel provides personalized service and features complete hardware facilities.
What problems have you encountered when using hotel products and services? What suggestions do you have for hotels?
In my opinion, hotels are service providers who live by service provision, so it's hard to accept a hotel whose team lacks service awareness.
I suggest that hotels pay more attention to details, because detail is the key to a hotel's quality.
Have you had any unpleasant experiences when cooperating with hotels? How did it make you feel unpleasant?
The hotels we choose are often long term partners so there have not been any unpleasant things between us. However in a few occasions when a large meeting is held, some hotels may fail to communicate effectively with their team and don't deliver our requirements clearly and accurately to them and this will cause errors in details.
What do you think of the relationship between travel and style? Which domestic hotels have impressed you for being stylish?
Travel and style are important aspects of a quality life, and they play important roles in people's daily life.
I think Hilton Beijing Wangfujing ranks at the top among stylish hotels in China. The hotel features delicate and sparkling crystal lights and overwhelmingly beautiful decorations. It arranges sweeties — female guests' favorite — in a prominent location of the hotel hall and puts a furry toy bear on the bed of each room, showing luxury and style everywhere within the hotel. Another hotel that is stylish for me is 8 Colors Hotel Shanghai. The hotel creates a space based on eight colors: red, yellow, blue, pink, purple, black, and gold. Though it does not offer many rooms, each room features a unique design. Compared with rooms in traditional hotels, the rooms there are elegantly decorated with a strong sense of style.
Through which channels do you select hotels or venues for your company events?
We have a professional team working on selecting and reviewing hotels before signing with them. Factors that affect our decision in choosing a hotel include location, service quality, brand, and price. Personally I like to listen to our associates' recommendations, and refer to websites and media reports before choosing a hotel.
Can you please recommend some travel destinations to our readers?
The purpose of your travel determines where you should go. Personally I would like to recommend romantic South Africa and mysterious Egypt.
What are your hobbies and which types of travel do you like?
Travel is my biggest hobby. I worked for several years as an English speaking tour guide, which offered me the opportunity to travel to a lot of wonderful places. As far as I am concerned, travel is a kind of lifestyle which makes you feel fully relaxed.
Do you have any plans for traveling in the coming months?
I plan to go to Hong Kong, and if possible I also want to go traveling in Lijiang.
