Three Travel Itineraries To Link Hainan And Australia

More than 50 tourism operators from Australia have investigated the tourism resources of Hainan looking opportunities for cooperation.

From July 2010, three intercontinental travel itineraries linking Hainan and Australia will be opened: Australia to Vietnam and Hainan, Australia to Hong Kong and Hainan, and Australia to Taipei and Hainan. Australian travel agencies will work with Hainan Airlines to introduce the new itineraries to Australian tourists. It is predicted that the new itineraries will bring at least 10,000 tourists to Hainan each year.

The leader of the investigation group commented that Hainan and Australia have been cooperating on tourism for a long time, and Hainan's golf holiday products are quite popular with Australian tourists. Compared to the traditional mass tourism destinations from Australia — such as Thailand and Vietnam — Hainan has a better price-performance ratio. In addition, the high and low seasons for Australia and Hainan complement each other, offering the two parties great potential for cooperation.
