Chengdu Airlines has officially launched flights to Jiuzhaigou Valley and Huanglong, two famous natural scenic spots in southwest China's Sichuan province.
The Chengdu-based carrier has said it will use domestically produce ARJ 21 regional jet aircraft on this route.
The carrier says it will buy three Airbus A320 planes and will expand its fleet to 10 aircraft. It has already launched flights on more than 40 domestic routes, connecting Chengdu with Chinese cities that include Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Liuzhou, Hangzhou, Changsha, Nanjing, and Shenyang.
Chengdu Airlines was developed from one of China's first private carriers, United Eagle Airlines. The founding ceremony for the airline was held in early 2010.
