Cathay Pacific Cuts Fuel Surcharges

Cathay Pacific Airways and its affiliated carrier, Dragonair, have received approval to cut passenger fuel surcharges by up to 5% for September, due to weaker international fuel prices.

Fuel surcharge for short-haul flights will drop 1% to HKD97 per journey from HKD98, and the surcharge for long-haul flights will fall by 5% to HKD481 from HKD505.

For flights between Hong Kong and mainland China, fuel charges will be cut to HKD84 from the previous HKD85.

According to Cathay Pacific the surcharge levels will be determined by the ticket date.
