Shenzhen Airport Increases Flights To Taiwan

Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport has increased the flight frequency to Taiwan to 27 per week, in response to tourist demand for winter travel between the two cities.

According to officials at the Shenzhen Airport Frontier Defense Inspection Station, the number of flights from Shenzhen to Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung in Taiwan will be increased 27 per week, with most departing during the day.

The airport new operates two to four round flights between Shenzhen and Taipei. Flights from Shenzhen and Taichung are operated every Wednesday and Saturday, while flights to Kaohsiung leave every Thursday and Sunday.

According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, in 2009 Shenzhen airport handled 24.49 million passengers, making it the fifth busiest airport in the country.
