Beijing Tourism Administration To Attract More Hong Kong Visitors
The Hong Kong Association of China Travel Organizers Limited recently said that the Beijing Tourism Administration has given Hong Kong residents 100,000 admission tickets free of charge to the capital's scenic spots, in a bid to attract Hong Kong residents to travel to the capital city during the winter season.
The latest move is part of BTA's efforts to promote the "Beautiful Beijing, Glamorous Winter"-themed tourism program.
In addition, tourism administrations and enterprises in some districts and counties near Beijing will open ski fields and offer free tickets for hot springs to attract more Hong Kong visitors.
In recent years, the Beijing municipal government has launched a series of tourism products to boost the winter travel market. Winter travel is seen as attractive to Hong Kong residents since they are not able to enjoy a white Christmas at home.
