Beijing Tourism Administration Launches Meeting Planning Training

In a bid to develop the city's meetings, incentives, conferences and events market Beijing Tourism Administration has teamed up with Meeting Professionals International to jointly develop a Certificate in Meeting Planning training program in the Chinese capital.

The partnership is part of the alliance agreement signed between Beijing Tourism Administration and MPI. The agreement is aimed at turning the city into a top MICE destination in the global market.

Under the partnership, the two sides will jointly train local industry professionals to acquire the skills needed to plan, execute and manage meetings and events at international standards.

As of now, there are 14,000 certificated meeting professionals, but none of them are from China.

MPI is said to be the meeting and event industry's largest and most global community. MPI membership is comprises more than 24,000 members, belonging to 71 chapters and clubs worldwide.
