Turkish Airlines To Launch Flights To Guangzhou

Turkish Airlines, the world's eighth biggest carrier and Europe's fastest growing airline, is to open a new route from Istanbul to Guangzhou as part of its expanding network.

According to a flight program confirmed by Turkey's Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Ministry of Transport, Turkish Airlines will begin to operate three weekly flights to Guangzhou on January 30, 2011. The airline is also adding new routes to Los Angeles in the USA and Shiraz in Iran in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Turkish Airlines is also planning to start new flights later in 2011 to: Malaga in Spain; Salonika in Greece; Valencia in Spain; Toulouse in France; Manila in the Philippines; and Naples, Turin, and Genoa in Italy.

A Star Alliance member, Turkish Airlines currently flies to 171 destinations, including 130 international and 41 domestic routes.
