Mainland Tourist Complaints Drop 70% In Hong Kong

The Travel Industry Council of Hong Kong said it received just 14 complaints from mainland tourists in January 2011, 70% less than the 46 recorded in the same period of last year.

In the first month of 2011, a total of 6,229 tourist groups traveled to Hong Kong, 6.4% less than in the same period last year.

Figures also show that TIC received 360 complaints from mainland tourists in 2010, with 18 recorded in December, 60% less than the same period a year ago.

In recent years, more and more mainland tourists are traveling to Hong Kong, becoming the city's top tourist source.
