Singapore Airlines Adds Extra Singapore-Hong Kong Flight

Singapore Airlines has announced the addition of a seventh daily flight between Singapore and Hong Kong, making the territory its busiest point outside of Singapore.

The new service will commence on March 27, 2011. Flight SQ890, operated with a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, will depart Singapore at 07:35 and arrive in Hong Kong at 11:20. The return flight, SQ891, will depart Hong Kong at 12:30 and arrive in Singapore at 16:10.

With the new flight customers will have an even wider range of flight timings to choose from, with seven flights within a 12-hour period from 07:35 to 19:55, departing from both Singapore and Hong Kong.

Singapore Airlines' vice president commercial, Mak Swee Wah, commented that they were grateful for the continued support of their customers on this popular route and they were delighted that they had the opportunity to offer both business and leisure travelers an additional choice of flight times.

With the addition of the new flight, Singapore Airlines will be offering 2,151 seats per day between Singapore and Hong Kong, up from 1,847 previously and Hong Kong will now have 56 outbound flights by the carrier each week (including flights departing from Hong Kong for San Francisco).
