New Pullman Resort Opens In Lijiang

Accor's upscale Pullman hotel brand has announced the official opening of the five-star Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa in China's south western Yunnan province.

Consisting of 79 villas and 51 deluxe rooms, the new property in Lijiang, a city which is often dubbed as China's "Forgotten Kingdom," is Pullman's fourth resort in the country, with two in Sanya and another in Zhangjiajie.

Robert Murray, the senior vice president of Accor Greater China commented that Accor was very excited to bring the Pullman brand to Yunnan, one of China's most attractive destinations for tourists due to its breathtaking natural scenery, mild climate and rich ethnic cultures. He added that it was also a great honor to join forces with Kunming Construction Company, a highly reputable real estate developer in the province, to deliver a truly comfortable, authentic Lijiang experience to guests from both home and abroad.

The resort is located adjacent to Shuhe Ancient Town and has uninterrupted views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and is just minutes away from downtown Lijiang as well as Dayan Ancient Town, a UNESCO world heritage site.

Inspired by local Naxi ethnic minority architecture and with contemporary Chinese elements the low-rise, full-service resort is set amidst gardens featuring canals and a central lake.

Each villa at Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa, which vary from 106 to 232 square meters, offers private courtyard gardens and outdoor heated tubs available in selected deluxe units.

There are various dining options at the resort's five restaurants and bars. Xi Western Restaurant, offers an international buffet as well as a la carte and boasts a wide selection of international cuisines using local ingredients. The Zun Chinese Restaurant offers Chow Chou cuisine influenced by the local Naxi ethnic minority.

The restaurants are complemented by the MIST Lobby Lounge and Bar and the 1919 Bar, which offers views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The Tian Lu Library offers guests the opportunity to read a selection of books and magazines over a cup of coffee or tea.

For meetings and events there are five multi-functional meeting rooms and a 333-square-meter ballroom in local Naxi architectural style. In addition to audio and visual facilities, complimentary WiFi access and "Chill-out" space for delegates, the resort, has a dedicated team of co-meeting and event managers.

Every room and villa is equipped with broadband Internet connections while complimentary WiFi access is also available throughout the resort. At the Connectivity Lounge (Business Center), webcam-equipped PCs, as well as other office equipment, is at the service of the guests.

Mandara Spa, and a fully-equipped fitness center, open 24 hours a day, allows guests options for exercise or relation at any time. Two international golf courses are also within easy reach of the Pullman Lijiang Resort & Spa, both a short drive from the property.
