Lufthansa Enhances Service To Shanghai And Nanjing

The German flag carrier Lufthansa has announced that it is increasing the number of its direct flights to mainland China and Hong Kong to 77 a week: up from the previous 62 a week.

From on April 16, the Frankfurt Shanghai Pudong service is increased to two flights a day. The first flight, which is operated using Boeing 747-400 aircraft, leaves Shanghai at 13:30 and arrives in Frankfurt at 19:00 local time, while the second flight is operated using Airbus A340-600 aircraft and departs Shanghai at 23:30 and arrives at 5:30 local time.

In addition, the carrier is also offering daily Shanghai to Munich services. The total number of flights by the carrier which link Shanghai and 170 countries in Europe is increased to three per day.

In addition, the number of flights on the Frankfurt to Nanjing route has been increased to four per week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Lufthansa currently services five Chinese cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, and Hong Kong.
