Hilton Worldwide Introduces Conrad To Jiangsu

Hilton Worldwide has signed a management agreement with Suzhou Chinaing Real Estate Company for the first Conrad hotel in Jiangsu province.

Scheduled to open its doors in 2013, the 290-room Conrad Suzhou marks Hilton Worldwide's entry into Suzhou, an ancient Chinese city known for its rich history and vibrant economy. Popularly known as "Venice of the East", Suzhou is a significant light industrial and commercial city situated on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the shores of Taihu Lake in Jiangsu province.

Christopher J. Nassetta, the president and CEO of Hilton Worldwide, said Suzhou Industrial Park is one of the most well-planned and mature industrial parks in China. The introduction of Conrad brand to Suzhou will bring to bear the strength of their brand and the reputation of Hilton Worldwide's hotel management expertise.

Conrad Suzhou will be part of a mixed-use skyscraper development designed to look like an oriental gate. The development is touted to be the most iconic building in Suzhou once it is completed.

Conrad Suzhou will be located in the heart of the Suzhou Industrial Park to the west of Jinji Lake. Suzhou is well-served by air transportation via Shanghai and land transportation systems including the Jiangsu-Shanghai Expressway, the Yangtze Riverine Expressway, and the Suzhou-Jiaxing-Hangzhou Expressway. Accessibility to Suzhou Industrial Park has also been made more convenient by the Suzhou mass rapid transit metro system.
