CASS Publishes Tourism Green Paper For 2011

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing has published a green paper titled "China's Tourism Development Analysis and Forecast 2011".

The green paper lists eight highlights for tourism in China: Regional tourism will develop rapidly; cultural tourism will show more diversity; free independent travel will be more popular; Northeast Asian travel will revive; Shanghai Disneyland will encourage the development of more theme parks; the international convention and exhibition market will grow; cruise travel will warm up; and tourism real estate will continue to expand.

The green paper anticipates that there will good prospects for the tourist industry in 2011. The domestic, outbound, and inbound tourism markets are all expected to grow considerably this year.
