The Ritz-Carlton Sanya Gets Five-Star Certification

The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya was recently certified by the China Tourist Hotel Star Rating Committee as an official five-star hotel in accordance with the national standards of China.

Commenting on the award Michel Goget, the general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, said they were both extremely honored and appreciative to take the top industry honor from the most respected industry committee. She added that as the first upper-luxury hotel in Yalong Bay, and also a leading hotel in Asia, this achievement was a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the hotel's world-class ladies and gentlemen, who take a tremendous amount of pride in being the best in the industry.

The hotel star rating system is the most official system in China for hotel ranking according to their facilities, scale, service quality and management. Hotels are generally rated as one, two, three, four or five-star. Five-star hotels offer the highest level of accommodation and personal services.

Situated on Yalong Bay in Hainan Province, the resort provides views of the South China Sea and features 450 guest rooms, suites and private villas. Recreational facilities include swimming pools, tennis courts, a fitness center a signature Ritz Kids Club and a spa. Eight restaurants and lounges offer scenic views of the lagoon and the ocean. In addition to flexible space designed for meetings, conferences and special social events, the hotel has Sanya's only waterfront wedding chapel and an on-site boutique shopping arcade.
