Sichuan International Culture Tourism Festival Opens In September

China's National Tourism Administration and the Sichuan Tourism Bureau have announced that the 2010 Sichuan International Culture Tourism Festival will be held from September 3 to 7 September, 2010.

The opening ceremony will be in held in Shuimo Town, Wenchuan County, in the Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. Other cities, inlcluding Chengdu, Deyang, and Mianyang, will also participate in this year's event.

A major topic at the festival will be reconstruction-related tourism following the 2008 earthquake.

The organizers say that there are about 100 confirmed participants from 28 countries and regions attending the festival.
