Members of Beijing's media industry found themselves making news, rather than writing or broadcasting it, when they displayed their creative skills at a Pre-Olympic Hotel Services Competition organized by the four Shangri-La hotels located in the Chinese capital. The event, played out at the four hotels, was designed to underline the hotel group's total commitment to sharing the city's heavy responsibility in staging the 2008 Beijing Olympics, including during the countdown to the Games, now just two years away.
