Starwood and Intel have entered into a marketing agreement to enable wireless Internet access in nearly 40 Sheraton, Westin, St Regis, The Luxury Collection, Four Points by Sheraton and W hotels in 11 countries across Asia Pacific.

The installation of WiFi hotspots in participating Starwood hotels, including The Westin Shanghai (Hotel and Residences) has allowed notebook users to connect to high speed Internet and corporate networks wirelessly throughout the hotel and residences, in rooms as well as in public areas.

Starwood's wireless LAN solution also enables the use of other wireless devices such as PDAs, pocket PCs and tablets.
