Thailand has opened a Consulate Office in Nanning to provide visa service to citizens there.

Before the opening of the consulate in Nanning, the capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, people in Guangxi needed to go to Guangzhou to apply for a Thailand visa when they wanted a Thailand trip, and it took a long time for them to get the visa due to the complicated procedures involved.

In 2005, the Thai government and Chinese government signed an agreement to set a Thailand consulate in Nanning, and in April last year, the office was finally launched.

The Nanning Consulate Office will receive visa applications on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
