Hu Chengjie, general manager of China Southern Airlines E-business Limited Company, says the company would soon launch a new kind of e-ticket service for mobile phone users.

Passengers will get a short message with a bar code from China Southern after they buy the e-ticket, and with the short message they can directly go to the airport for check-in. This service is said to be designed to prevent fake e-tickets.

Last year, China Southern sold RMB16 billion e-tickets which was quadruple that of the previous year. But fake e-tickets appeared and this greatly harmed the interest of the passengers.

In order to protect the consumers' interest, China Southern has cooperated with ECLink to launch the SMS E-ticket. It is expected that this service can be implemented in the first half of this year.
