Shenzhen-based Vienna Hotel Group, which has already opened three new hotels in January 2007, has now turned its eyes into the budget hotel sector.

With budget hotel competitors like OCT and Home Inns, Vienna plans to find its own niche in the market and plans to open more than 20 budget hotels in 2007.

The three hotels that Vienna Hotel Group opened at the beginning of 2007 are Vienna Hotel Longhua, Vienna Hotel Aiguo and Vienna Lijiang International Hotel. Of them, Vienna Lijiang International Hotel is the first Dongba culture themed five-star hotel in China and the eighth hotel for Vienna Hotel Group. Dongba Culture is a unique culture created by the Naxi minority group who live in the Lijiang area in Yunnan Province.

Vienna Hotel Group is a hotel investment and management group opened in 1993. Through more than a decade's development, it has grown into one of the largest and most influential hotel groups in Shenzhen and claims to own the most rooms in the area.
