Cathay Pacific Airways has launched a new mobile Internet service to provide more convenience and better mobility to their passengers in Hong Kong.

The new website, mobile.cathaypacific.com, is specially designed for users of mobile phones or PDAs to browse the website content and find route information. With the new service, users can check the latest flight arrival and departure times, check flight schedules weeks ahead, subscribe to Cathay Pacific's notiFLY Flight Paging service, track their mileage and learn about the company's latest news and offers.

Si Ouyang, manager of Cathay Pacific's E-trade Department, says that Cathay Pacific is pleased to launch this new service for users to keep track of the latest travel information, and it will offer more value-added services to the passengers in the future.

The English-language mobile portal also has a Chinese component. English-language mobile information is becoming increasingly important in Greater China. Websites like ChinaPulse.com have already had mobile portals for many years, catering to the millions of foreign visitors arriving in China.
