The Fujian Provincial Tourism Bureau says that they will make use of their advantage in natural views and culture to develop rural travel this year.
The bureau plans to launch 50 well-known travel towns and 100 famous travel villages in the province within this year.
Huang Xiaoyan, director-general of the bureau, says that they will mainly explore the rural travel in a batch of villages on a trial basis, and later launch some rural travel products that adapt to the demands of the market.
Fujian Province started to develop their rural travel from 2006. Until now, they have already worked out more than 20 routes for rural travel.
