Sichuan Provincial Price Bureau has announced that from May 1, three provincial scenic spots will decrease their fees for transportation.

This transportation decrease applies to cable cars and tour buses, with an average decrease of 23.4%. The three scenic spots are Emei Shan, Hailuo Gou and Siguliang Shan, and this is the first time for such dramatic drops in pricing in Sichuan's tourism sector.

Eighteen delegates, including officers, consumers, travel agents and operators of travel spots, recently attended a hearing on these price reductions. The price bureau said that the transportation in the travel spots shouldn't aim at making money and they will focus on other consumer-friendly actions in the future.
