China Hotel, A Marriott Hotel has announced the arrival of Director of Human Resources Mike Giam.

From a senior human resource executive to regional corporate director, Giam has more than 10 years of professional experience working for several MNC companies, including CWT Distribution Limited in Singapore; International Data Corporation in the United States; the Millennium & Copthorne International Hotels Group in Singapore; MG Consulting Associates in Singapore; and most recently, with the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel in China.

In his tenure with previous companies, Giam has led and managed frontline managers in restructuring and streamlining processes. He was appointed on several occasions by companies as their lead change agent and consultant in their restructuring programs as well as human capital planning and development. In 2003, Giam was appointed as an executive committee member for the hospitality industry by the Work Development Authority of the Manpower Ministry in Singapore.

Giam holds a Master Degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Sydney and was MBTI-Accredited by APP Accreditation (Australia) in 2005.
