Lufthansa German Airlines announces that its 'eXperts eXplorer Asia 2007' event for those travel agents who have most visited and utilized its official travel agent loyalty program website eXperts was a great success.
Held in Chiang Mai, Thailand from June 15 to 18, the event saw a total of 55 travel agents from ten countries joining the event. Lufthansa held a contest called Chiang Mai eXplorer Rally for the travel agents across major locations in Chiang Mai. The four day event also included a visit to a traditional Thai hilltribe village, as well as an elephant trek. The last evening was spent at the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi Chiang Mai, where participants were treated to a lavish outdoor dinner. The highlight of the closing night was the sending off of 21 floating lanterns to the sky, representing the 21 destinations where Lufthansa flies to in Asia-Pacific.
The new eXperts website will be progressively launched across Asia-Pacific starting in July 2007 and is designed to keep travel agents updated on the latest Lufthansa fares and important information about Lufthansa. Moreover, with the incentive scheme, travel agents are rewarded for their loyalty to Lufthansa. Lufthansa eXperts points are given for each Lufthansa ticket sold and can be redeemed for attractive awards for the individual agent.
This is the second in a series of events Lufthansa has organized to reward agents' loyalty and relationship-building via the Lufthansa eXperts platform. The last event, 'Seeing Is Believing', was held two years ago in Munich, Germany with 120 participants.
