Michael Malik has been appointed general manager of Renaissance Shanghai Pudong Hotel.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Malik now calls Singapore home and is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. He started his career with Marriott International in 1994 and has since served at the JW Marriott Hong Kong, Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai Hotel, and has been at the helm of the Beijing Marriott Hotel West and more recently the JW Marriott Hotel Chongqing.
