News from China National Tourism Administration is that from October 15, 2007, six more countries will be added as approved travel destinations for Chinese citizens.

The six countries are Oman, Morocco, Monaco, Syria, Namibia and Bulgaria.

Statistics show 34 million Chinese went to travel abroad last year, which made the country the largest outbound travel market in Asia. In the first half of this year, China's outbound travel still grew rapidly and increased by 14.04%.

By the end of 2006, China had 132 Approved Destination Status countries and regions for its citizens, including 86 ADS countries and regions to which China can send tourist groups.
