The State-owned Assets Supervision And Administration Commission Of Anhui Provincial Government announced in a press conference that construction will start on the Xinqiao Airport on December 28.

The new airport is located in Gaoliu Town of Feixi County, Hefei. Its first phase will be a 3400-meter runway and a parallel taxiway, a 90,000-square-meter terminal building, 22 parking spots for passenger aircraft, and relative support facilities.

The airport project has total investment of RMB3.9 billion and is expected to be established by the end of 2010.
