To meet the growing product and service expectations of business and leisure travelers, and to gear up for the Olympic Games in 2008, the Crowne Plaza Beijing hotel will undergo an extensive renovation and be closed from January 1 to March 31, 2005.

The internationally recognized and awarded designer team of Singapore based DP Design will give the Crowne Plaza Beijing a rejuvenation to make it the icon of recognition and modern lifestyle on Wangfujing Avenue.

The transformation will include the hotel's arrival area, lobby, atrium, all restaurants and bars, extended meeting options and all 238 guest rooms that have been left untouched after the executive floor renovation in 2003.

The hotel will experience a face transformation that will make it a dynamic and refreshing icon of recognition within its strategic location in the centre of Wangfujing Avenue.

The arrival experience will be enriched with a lofty, stylish and interactive Atrium Lounge and a new bar combining lifestyle, trend and casual entertainment – the hotel's heart that never sleeps. The remodeled Chinese Restaurant with 8 private dining rooms are designed in conscious respect for Feng Shui elements to create a tasteful and prosperous ambience, while the new all-day dining restaurant will provide the Chef's stage for culinary showmanship and the presentation for the “World of Wines”.

A new meeting and medium sized conference and business centre will dominate the second floor with creative and dynamic space for interactions and networking, carefully blending elements of wood, water and metal.
