China National Tourism Administration has revoked the respective qualifications of a 4A grade scenic spot and a five-star hotel that have failed to reach the relevant standards in southern China.
The Grand View Hotel Shenzhen has lost its five-star grade. It is the first five-star hotel that has lost its qualification in the area because it reportedly failed to attain quality standards for its facilities.
The scenic spot that has lost its qualification is the Hainan Tropical Ocean World. It lost its 4A qualification because of improper management.
CNTA says it will further its review and evaluation on the existing A grade scenic spots and star-grade hotels and cancel those that do not meet standards.
