Hong Kong has been attracting more tourists from the mainland during recent holiday periods. During this coming Spring Festival, about 200,000 Chinese tourists will visit Hong Kong, bringing it more than RMB1 billion in travel revenue.

The Hong Kong Entry and Exit Department predicts that the number of tourists coming to Hong Kong this year will break the record of last year.

It is cooperating with the police, customs and Beijing- Kowloon railway administration to ensure that the tourists can have a smooth journey.

Most of the three-star hotels in Hong Kong are receiving large quantities of bookings for the Spring Festival. During the holiday, many tourist groups will have to choose luxury hotels as the low-star ones will be packed.

The Hong Kong Entry and Exit Department hopes to move each tourist through the customs points within 30 minutes.
