The latest survey from Macao SAR shows that in February this year Macao received as many as 1.77 million inbound travelers, an increase of 16.5% over the same period of last year.

The report says that in the first few days of February, which coincided with the Chinese Spring Festival, Macao received more than 1 million tourists from the mainland. There was also an increase of 10.4% in tourists from Hong Kong.

Of all the inbound travelers in Macao, 52.9% did not stay overnight in the region.
