87 star-grade hotels in China's southern Guangxi Province have launched free long-distance call offers for their customers.

All these hotels are members of a Hotel Long-Distance Calling Alliance.

According to a representative of this alliance, the hotels get preferential calling rates from the telecom operators so that they can provide the service to improve their room occupancy rates.

The Hotel Long-Distance Calling Alliance was launched on December 12.
