The China International Travel Service (CITS) will convene each of its branches to Hainan to discuss a unified purchasing plan of hotel and air products.

This is the first time that CITS has launched unified purchasing around the whole country and in each of its branches.

CITS has been incorporating more travel services into its force and intending to become a wholesaler of travel products. So far, it has brought ten local travel services under its control.

Meanwhile, CITS has begun to transform the work flow of each of its branches. This includes setting up a purchasing center at its main headquarters.

Due to the difference in travel products of different areas, CITS' unified purchase plan in the past has not been successfully realized. However now CITS believes that with a unified plan it can get better lower-priced deals.
