The China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) has announced a new contract draft for outbound travel.

The new contract, called Chinese Citizens Outbound Travel Contract, is the basic agreement between travelers and their travel agency.

Before making the contract mandatory, CNTA is collecting suggestions for the new contract which is to be officially enacted during the May Day holiday.

The agreement clauses give room for travel agencies to transfer a travel group to a third travel agency provided that it can guarantee the same service standards and get approval from the tourists before departure.

The new contract also encourages tourists to protect their own rights and to take measures to minimize losses when an infringement occurs.
